Turn the numbers of a company that manufactures into decisions: cost per vehicle, cash and budget.

About Mothium

Mothium builds professional electric vehicles for urban logistics and the agents that run them. MothiOS ships with every vehicle and today it runs maintenance, aftersales, routing and cost across real customer fleets. It is not a demo. It is operating.

What you'll do

Mothium designs and manufactures commercial and industrial electric vehicles, and runs them with its own software. Every unit that leaves the line carries a cost in materials, assembly and after-sales, and every product decision moves that number. Today we know it through spreadsheets and goodwill. We need to know it through a system.

The job is to have the numbers arrive before the decisions do. What each vehicle really costs, how much cash we have in six months if a supplier changes its lead time, what margin each customer leaves. You build the budget, the close and the cost model, and you sit with the founders when decisions are made.

You will work alongside administration, purchasing and the assembly line, and you will prepare the reporting our investors and public funding programmes receive.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the annual budget and the cash forecast, reviewed every month.
  • Run the monthly close with our external advisers, on a fixed date.
  • Build the cost-per-vehicle model: materials, assembly, warranty and after-sales.
  • Analyse margins by product and by customer, and explain the variances.
  • Prepare periodic reporting for the founding team, investors and public funding.
  • Define the company's financial indicators and the dashboard that tracks them.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in management control or controlling, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing company.
  • You have built a product cost model, not only inherited one.
  • Strong with spreadsheets and accounting software, and the judgement to tell when a spreadsheet is no longer enough.
  • Able to explain a number to someone who is not in finance, and to defend it.
  • Based in Seville or willing to relocate.

Counts in your favour

  • Reporting to investors or a board in a venture-backed company.
  • Reporting on public funding or R&D programmes.
  • Standard costing, bills of materials and cost breakdowns in short-series manufacturing.

You will fit here if

  • You would rather have an approximate number today than an exact one in a month, and you can say which is which.
  • You like going down to the workshop to understand where a cost comes from.
  • You are comfortable telling founders something they do not want to hear, with the figure that proves it.

What we offer

  • A seat where decisions are made from the first week, next to the founders.
  • A function you build from scratch, with the authority to choose tools and processes.
  • A close view of how a vehicle is industrialised and turned into a business.
  • 100% on-site work in Seville.

What the process looks like

  1. Intro call with our team, 30 minutes.
  2. Conversation about a cost model or budget you have built: which decisions it changed.
  3. A practical case of ours: the cost of a vehicle with a change of supplier and volume. Discussed, not submitted.
  4. A day in Seville with the team and the founders.

These steps can be completed in ten days.
